Default Let's talk rack gear!

Oh man, did I just say that!
Thinking back to my glory days...what are still some killer rack units that get no love in this new world?
ADA Mp-1
I recall Rocktron having some good decent sounding stuff too.

Oh yeah. I had a HE3000 when they first came out...$2k and I never learned how to use it! Ouch, that one hurt.
I think I'm going t try and find a JMP or ADA and have it modded...that would make a nice grabngo!

Someone said rack !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm here all ears

Yeah Eventide Eclipse rules !!! Don't have one but messed a bunch with the original HE3000 I did get to learn how to use it, read the whole freaking manual like I was teh pope reading the bible for the first time!

I swear by my Tech21 PSA-1 preamp... that thing rules! And not only for guitars!

Never tried the ADA MP-1 but it was IT back then I remember seeing them everywhere!

Remember the Digitech units? GSP-21 what a multi fx unit back then!
GSP 2101 (I had one of those) tube preamp with basically th GSP-21 effect and more versatility! Yeah baby loved that thing... spent too much tiomem programming it and using a multitude of cc with it... that and a whammy pedal and I was 4oct up to 4 oct down harmonizing hahahaha can you say spaceship landing with reverse revrd in a trippy delay did them all and linked the midi to lighting switching crazy me.

Older than that Digitech DSP-128+ ... had that one for a loooooooooooong time replaced it with my current Lexicon MX-200 as the digitech was slowly dying on me I sold it before it did. I was considering th ever classic Lex PCM-42 but tried the MX-200 and got what I wanted out of it so didn't bother any further. MX-200 is a basic unit 2 fx type thing with knobs for quick and dirty tweaking.

I could go on about a load of outboard gear I got to mess up with over the years in and out of my pro audio duties.

Those things are so much fun

Crazyiest thing you had in your rack ???

I recycled a pcb out of an alarm clock/radio/phone and used the clock part of it mounted on a venting panel in the big motherrack (16U) yeah I used a battery as a backup so I didn't have to put it back on time everytime I powered down in between setups. Was kinda cool and more lights was the thing to do

+1 on the PSA1. Add a Lexicon or other unit - - I also like TC M3000's and you're golden. And Scott - - expect a package in a week or mebbe a bit more.

Whoo hoo! Looking forward to that Jon!

Per the rack gear, I wonder if these preamps and such would still dound as good to us as they did back then? Likely not, but the mod effects likley would I think.
I used to have a Lee Jackson?Perfect COnnection?Metaltronix preamp (so-so) and one of his single space power amps, think it had a preamp tube. That thing sounded good. Still does! Ity gets passed around between 3 of my friends every few years...they buy, rebuy, swap, etc with each other on that same amp! Maybe I'll be next:>)

I'm looking for a nice midi rack delay for my Mod 50. I want to be able to switch delays plus have the unit change the channels on my amp. What's a nice sounding affordable rack delay?
