It's the one pedal that I've always wanted to try. It's the one pedal that I will never be able to try 'cause I refuse to pay $1000 dollars for a used overdrive. I bet people will sell it used for this much or more now that it is out of production.

New they are over $300, not $1000. i didn't like his BS policy of not shipping it to your home, but a business. WTF?

I owned 3 thru the years. I should have hung onto one, as they are a good pedal depending on how you use it....but the ridiculous status TGP sheep give it is just that....ridiculous

Even if they don't, that will be the hype. The horsey man Klons sound the best, the gold ones are better than the silver ones, ad nauseum.

I wonder if the smaller ones will have a circuit board? If so, you may be right.

As an overdrive, I just thought it was so-so. But as a clean boost, it sounded and FELT great through my rig. I always wished Bill Finnegan would have come out with a boost or a simpler, cheaper version of the OD. He could have sold them a lot cheaper just by eliminating that enclosure and going with something less costly to produce!

Yep, exactly. Weren't there some really early silver ones with the horsey on them? I hear those sound best - nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

I agree - the overdrive was nothing to write home about, in fact I found it's mid hump glaring and it was somewhat noisey when the gain was turned up. But as a boost it becomes part of the rig in a way other pedals just don't seem to match.

To be fair, Musictoyz forum talk, not TGP talk, gave me major GAS for another fancy OD pedal, the Landgraff. It's a nice pedal and all, but cripes, the way some people talked about it I was expecting it to be "the one." It isn't... but it's still on my board and gets a pretty good workout.
