>>>so who knows maybe your facebook might become a gauge of your personality for a job interview
it already is. HR background checks now routinely include looking at someone's online "behavior," and last I saw the weight of this alone can count towards up to 60% of a prospective employee's overall rating. that's why i try and keep not only my credit rating as clean as possible, I also try and keep even my Ebay feedback at 100% and have provided that as a reference on more than one occasion. this actually opens up a whole conversation about privacy, access to information, and how lucky many of us in the same'ish age range are that we didn't have to worry about some idiot with a camera phone snapping pics of you and your gf doing it, or half the crazy things most of us did growing up, and then posting it all over eternity. as for the questions - - I wonder how "well" the HR people would do? Or do they already have all the answers?

Ok for those curious... 37
I'd say it's mostly acurate. But that says nothing about any of my actual abilities and knowledge but sometimes you have to wonder if that is still a requirement... |

Glorbz - ability, knowledge, and experience are still the main factors in getting hired but i think Sunburst59 has it right. this is for weeding out the goons but could also probably eliminate some otherwise qualified people who simply make a bad first impression. I can't imagine ever getting these questions on a follow-up or more in-depth interview where your qualifications and abilities would certainly come into consideration and be a primary topic of conversation. I can see these questions being asked on an initial phone interview or "cattle call" although I personally have never been asked any of these. The ones I usually get are "where do you see yourself in 5 years" and "can you tell me why you left your last company."

Guys! Common I want to speak frankly and as loud as a "cowbell".
We need some more intelligence tests... but made by true psycologists or human resources gurus. On a similar side note I once took a $50 cost internet test.. developed to determined which lobes of the brain we have a natural capacity to use the most with lesser energy cost for our brains and gives insight on personality traits our brain´s individual potential. If any of you are interested, I could scan my results and the theory around the test. It is a very deep thing that deals with how our brains physically works. In short words:We hAVE FOUR MAIN brain zones or lobes.(Of course we have more areas but there are 4 major areas for psychology) Two frontal lobes the Frontal Left Lobe has a lot to do with numbers and the Frontal-Right Lobe deals with Creativity. THe Left-Back Lobe deals with accepting orders/instructions and the Right-Back Lobe deals gives importance to emotional bonding stuff. There is more lots more to the theory, forgive me I am oversimplifying it but I would have to get all the info-papers about it that are stored somewhere in my bookshelf. I recall that between the four lobes there is a large-meaty- brain-crust that divides the lobes and physically we all share the same crust obstacle if you wish to call that makes the four zones hard to interconnect diagonally across but easily sideways or upwards/downwards. For example: one person that has a natural ability on the Frontal Left Lobe side will easily develop his Frontal Right side and his Back Left Lobe but will waste much more energy and therefore experience difficulty in developing his Back-Right side, because of the meaty brain crust at the intersection part of those lobes. This is an amazing scientific discovery because we can investigate which areas we need to keep developing and stop wasting valuable time-energy in jobs that requiry the skills found on brain zones we have a hard time using. THere is a great part on the theory which explains how teenagers basicly have only one lobe developed at that age, and therefore make more misjudgement decisions more often. OF course some people may have their four sides develop, but those are rare at a young age. Usually we get to use with efficiently the four zones with the help of maturity and in adulthood. Tell me if you wish me to scan the theory and maybe even some of you are willing to take the test on the net but you will be require to pay.( no I am not in it on any level I just took the test and liked it a lot) One gets the results also on the net and you can print em. The results are analized by Psicologists and it is one of the best tests about personality and abilities IMHO. Ahh Rolo writes too much, bad rolo. Just for nakedness disclosure I was tested and came out as being a Doble Basal meaning that my most develop brain areas are the Two Back Areas and I need to stimulate more my Front-Right. I really couldn't even answer those questions.
Which explains two things ... 1) why the only 'corporate' job I ever had lasted 45 minutes (no lie). 2) if those are real questions, why corporate/business/service industry America is so totally freakin' misguided.

Well from my abilities & knwoledge most of those questions don't need to be asked in an interview since thy can get most of those informations from watching your physical language... wich is a subject on its own... most of the interviews you'll do where there's more than one person the reason is not only for taking notes or adressing technical questions it's also to check the physical language answers...

48...I think it probably a kinda general assesment that can be whitled down later...I was up for a "corporate" job at one point and the tests I had to take were 100s of questions wrong with lots of the same question being asked different ways etc...and timed...so a 10 question test is pretty general, but I'm pretty happy with the me it found...
