Okay, so I found an original Expandora on eBay. Guy's asking $275, will take $225. Worth it?

The OD portion of it is ok, but I do miss the 'forbidden' setting, which I recall producing a very tasty fuzz.

$225 could be a little on the high side of the going price. I liked mine on the OD setting best, and it's a pretty good OD with a little more trebly snarl and crunch than a tubescreamer The distortion setting is OK but not that inspiring to me The 'Forbidden' setting, which gets you a ridiculous amount of gain and some fairly uncontrollable overtones, is fun in the frontroom but you'd have to be more adventurous than I to find much use for it in a band situation. It's a nice pedal, uniquely packaged, I liked the polished metal disc and it's compact it's a slight pain in the ass to change any of the settings since they are internal via a couple dipswitches that depending on which are in up or down position determine your level of distortion. I would think you could find one for $200 or less if you look around. At the end of the day, Billy could make a Bad Monkey sound like the Hammer of Odin but it's still a cool pedal.

Hammer of Odin is an awesome name for a pedal!
