Default Speaking of being a Dad-Friday was a red letter day!

Can't belive I forgot to share this with you guys...
Friday night we had what will probably be the last gig for Dirty Murphy (ok well one of them...)
    It's sad,but whatever...
the cool part was my son Simon ( Aleister Page) was my roadie
( I know thats cool enough...)
    but
I got him up for his first band/stage experience...

he rawked out on Kingbee and Roadhouse Blues
poor kid I told him as he was about to play "oh yeah and it switches to Roadhouse blues in the middle...he said" oh thats cool I know that one too...wait, what do you mean it switches in the middle?"
He really did great, the whole place cheered for him as well as the guys in the band...and of course his uber-proud papa...

he was walking around with me drinking a coke and somebody said
"oh, thats cool...you've got him drinking too!"
    I laughed
    then realized he was serious...hahaha

Gabe I share your proud father sentiment. Cool to see your kid grow up and rock like his father.

Sad to read about your band, but hopefully you will get another band project started soon. Take care buddy.

I'm not a dad, but I'm a proud uncle, many times over. My uber nerd nephew Paul, is 23 and plays a pretty mean Les Paul Studio/Marshall half stack. Very cool. Gabe, I hope you're able to find a new band situation soon, that you like. maybe we could commute, and start one, the two of us, haha. btw, I like to watch Beat Off, excuse me, Off Beat Cinema, which originates in your fair city.

I didn't know that went national...
honest to goodness...I thought band drama was gonna be over after high school!
ah, well atleast I've got lil'Aleister to live vicariously through...He's currently working on getting his first band together...lots of Zep some Pink Floyd, etc...Last I heard they were going to start with the Earl's Court setlist...haha

Yeah, I've had it bad for Zelda for a few years now. Ever since the broadcast TV all switched to digital, and I went out and bought the converters and special antennae, I've been treated to some pretty cool programming on broadcast TV. Off Beat Cinema is on the RTV Retro Television Network. In Buffalo you have WGRZ - Buffalo - Schedule PDF Digital TV Ch. 2.3; FOIS Ch. 461

Here's a link to the network website, as well. http://www.myretrotv.com/
