Default Time to Pay It Forward

You guys were so great after my burglary, with your kind words, and the Marshall C5. I've had a chance to get back on my feet again, so to speak. Still looking for work, but things are improving

Not long ago, I learned that a friend of my best friend's older daughter was robbed. He lost a lot of his music gear. My friend is an extremely generous and sweet lady. She either loaned or outright gave this guy a Squier Strat that had belonged to a family member who passed away. He now has an electric, and a "cheesy" amp, but no cables. He has been playing his acoustic exclusively. I think I'll hop on down to the local music store and get the kid a couple of cables. Kid, he's 23. We were all full blown geniuses at 23, right? Gotta break that habit.

Anyway, I'm in a position to pay it forward now. Just thought you guys would like to know about that.

    Yup.
I am amazed at how this group of people always help one another. Still blows my mind. I owe so much to many of you. Even guys who just lurk help others.
Great stuff in this day and age!

Rather than run down to Guitarget (GC) I placed an order here for two Lava Blue Demon cables. So for about $60, this young guy can finally plug in, and even use a pedal, if he has one.

For a while, my friend was thinking of giving that Squier to me. I told her that her daughter's friend could get more real use out of it. She agreed. She's one of the good ones.

A little kindness indeed goes a long way. Between you guys, and your generosity, and support, and my best friend, doing what she did, I'm alive to tell the tale. I was feeling worthless. Before my burglary, she was just this kinda cute, but mostly annoying broad who sat next to me at work. But man, she helped me compile a list of stolen items to pass out to our coworkers. The thing that touched me the most, was when she learned that my teddy bear had been stolen. My bear was my little buddy, when I was a bus driver. I was crushed. She brought me one of her own bears from home. At that moment I knew she was not human, she was an angel.

I told her that when the cables arrive, I want her to give them to the guy. If he wants to think they're from her family, great. He loves her family. Knowing her, she'll probably tell him the truth. She is an angel, after all.

BTW, she still has plenty of the glow in the dark Wam Fuzzball guitar picks, for free. If anybody wants one, email Wam Fuzzball at fuzzballs@cox.net and give your mailing address. These are medium guage picks, made by Clayton. They glow in the dark, and have a cool cartoon character on them. I ordered them several months ago, to promote her younger daughter's comic strip, in the school newspaper.
